This year the MFFA has introduced a new award for big fish caught over a combination of three outings. One cold and one warm water species is required, and the third fish will be you next highest point scoring catch. The outings this spring were well attended and there was many fish caught. Check out the score card and find your name if you have been participating in outings. Weather you have been to one outing or all of them, if you have reported a fish you are on the list. If you have blank spots under you name, be sure to check out the fall outings to fill your score card.

First major outing for the MFFA is in Turtle Mountain Provincial Park. This year the MFFA has rented the Walkinshaw Place B&B and will be staying there as a group. Species include Brown Trout in William, Rainbow in Bower Lake. Please note: The regular fishing season is not open, therefore any Bass, Pike or Walleye caught should be released unharmed.
